As part of its new business initiative, MEHAIR is inducting 19 seat, twin engine aircraft for connecting the Tier II and Tier III geographies with the metros through its own initiative. Starting with Maharashtra where the company has firm plans to connect Mumbai with Shirdi, Nanded, Sholapur, Kohlapur, Latur, etc, gradually the company is looking to introduce its operations across India including the North-East. The company is planning to commence the hub-and-spoke system wherever feasible to cross-feed business to the seaplane and the regional service verticals of the company. The first service of the regional routes is expected to commence operations with the first of the aircraft from Q4 of 2017. Over the next three years, the company expects to deploy between 10 of these aircraft across India to service the regional routes.
